Davy has extensive experience in supervision and working ethically with trauma in a safe, controlled person friendly manner. From 2010 – 2016 he was the Director of Counselling for a Community Counselling Organisation. He is in a cohort of less than 5% of BACP members, who hold the Senior Accredited Supervisor status. He has thousands of hours supervised clinical experience from which to draw upon. He has a Post Graduate qualification in supervision. He also is an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant (EMDR is a N.I.C.E. evidence based therapy for working with P.T.S.D). Davy is also trained in Interpersonal Therapy (a N.I.C.E. evidence based therapy for depression).
Davy, for the past three years, have been lecturing on the level 6 counselling supervision course for several establishments. His areas of personal interest are around complex trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harm. He is an advocate for personal continuing development, as a necessary part of the psychotherapists ongoing journey of discovery and education.
